Lecture: Balancing Scrutiny and Collaboration

Making OS Work for the Public Administration

Our vision of ideal open source practices often paints a picture of simple software sharing and unrestricted access to code. However, as open-source software gains more attention, there is a need to reconcile this vision with increasing scrutiny. With regulations like the Cyber Resilience Act proposing "Obligations of open-source software stewards," it's time for discussion on how we reconcile free and simple sharing of knowledge with regulatory attention. This talk by ZenDiS’ product manager Julian Schauder will focus on the practical aspects of implementing open source within government agencies.
